Wikimindmap.org
WikiMindMap is a tool to browse easily and efficiently in Wiki content, inspired by the mindmap technique. Wiki pages in large public wiki’s, such as wikipedia, have become rich and complex documents. Thus, it is not allways straight forward to find the information you are really looking for. This tool aims to support users to get a good structured and easy understandable overview of the topic you are looking for. Originally, Wikimindmap.org was an experiment to find out if people would accept this kind of navigation. Today, it is widly used form people all over the world.
It was implemented in Actionscript (Flash), PHP and Javascript, using the Mediawiki API.
Chloecosmetic
Chloecosmetic is a cosmetic studio offering a variaty of beauty and lifestyle treatments. This young enterprise had a need to manage its product portfolio and to have a professional up-to-date website. Especially, product information such as pricing must be cosistent across all media (e.g. flyers, pricelists, website).
In order to fullfill chloecosmetic’s needs at reasonable cost, the characteristics of the products were modelled in an out-of-the-box drupal installation, using some of its standard modules. Drupal is an opensource CMS, which can be used right away and does not cause any extra cost. No customizing was necessary. Using drupal as a X-Media plattform assures that the website is always up-to-date and pricelists can be generated and printed in consistent cooporate identity without the need of another tool.
